Did you know that SCS has two beautiful 3PL facilities in The Netherlands and the UK?

At the beginning of 2021 we opened our facility in Lijnden, which is very close to Schiphol Airport in The Netherlands and in March this year, we opened our facility in Leighton Buzzard which is in the Golden Triangle in the UK.

Both warehouses are 25,000 square feet and have approx 2,500 pallet spaces each.

Both facilities are managed by dynamic husband and wife duo Adrian and Rachel Mapp who both have had long and successful careers working for Fortune500 and Government in the logistics and customer services fields both in New Zealand and overseas. We are so lucky to have them both at the helm.

“A common misconception with Australasians” says Rachel “is that with Brexit in the UK, it is too difficult to sell products into Europe and vice versa. However, having set up a really good network of professionals and having gone through the process with several clients, we can put you in contact with all the right people who will make the set up seamless and reduce the stress of the unknown”

The other major problem that Rachel and Adrian see with Australasian customers that are already in the UK or Netherlands is a lack of communication with their current 3PL. Rachel said “Being on the other side of the world is hard to have your finger on the pulse. Often, 3PLs are notorious for not being great with communications, making it impossible for the customer to know exactly what is happening with their stock and their orders”  “With Adrian and myself being Kiwis, we all speak the same language and there are no comprehension issues. We also use the same Customer Portal and WMS as SCS New Zealand and it is 100% owned by SCS. This is a great benefit to the customer who currently works with SCS NZ and for the customer who wants to be in more than one country”

If you are looking at making the move and taking your company global or just want to look at moving from your current 3PL in the Netherlands or the UK, then please get in touch with Rachel for a chat.
